Safer Sex is easy, fun, and the right thing to do!
To keep you and your partner safe, always use a condom for fucking, pitching or receiving! Playing with rubbers can be made into kinky fun... Always use condom-compatible, water-based lube. If you like the feel of lubes like Crisco and Elbow Grease, get yourself condoms made of Polypropelyne, which are safe to use with oil-based lubes.
Oral sex is generally safe, but there are some more detailed rules to follow... keep in mind that HIV is transmitted by allowing HIV carrying blood or semen to enter your bloodstream. It's as simple as that- there is no mystery to it.
So, never suck if you have bleeding gums, sores in your mouth or have had dental work done and your mouth isn't healed. A good way to keep oral sex safe is to maintain a healthy mouth by brushing and flossing after every meal to control gingivitis (bleeding gums). NEVER suck immediately after brushing or flossing as tiny abrasions can be caused by your toothbrush and floss. Don't brush and floss immediately AFTER sucking either, for the same reason... you can scrape or cut your mouth with your toothbrush and allow the virus into your bloodstream, so rinse your mouth with alcohol based mouthwash or peroxide after oral sex . If you are worried or not sure about the health of your gums, use a condom.
Drugs and Alcohol can make you take more risks... be aware. If you inject drugs, don't share needles, ever. Drugs and Alcohol can also burden your immune system and make you less resistant to common infections.
Meth is especially dangerous as it causes tooth decay and gum disease, providing easy access to your blood stream for the virus. Meth also seriously alters your ability to make good judgements. Don't do Meth, and keep making good, sound decisions about your sexplay...
If you use toys, wash them in a solution of a few drops of bleach in water, or run them through your dishwasher with a little bleach in the bottom of the machine. Be sure to run it empty afterward with a little bleach..! If you share toys, put a fresh rubber on each toy before sharing it.
It is vital that you get tested. Real, actual scientific studies performed by research institutions like the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta have proven unequivocally that persons who KNOW THEIR HIV STATUS, POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE, are far more likely to take steps to protect themselves from infection, or prevent themselves from infecting others. YOU NEED TO KNOW YOUR STATUS! It will help you make choices to protect yourself and others.
It doesn't matter how MANY partners you have sex with or WHERE you have sex with them, what is important is WHAT YOU DO! Always practice safer sex, using rubbers every time, pitching or receiving, don't do dangerous drugs that impair your good judgement, and you'll continue to keep yourself and your partners safe! Safer Sex Practices can also protect you from other Sexually Transmitted Diseases like Syphilis and other infections...
